The West Coast's largest Taiwanese American celebration returns to Union Square on May 12th, 2018!
An all-day, free and family-friendly festival featuring Taiwanese culture, food, entertainment, activities and more. Enjoy mouth-watering Taiwanese delicacies, rock out to live performances by world-renowned Taiwanese American performers, and learn more about Taiwanese history and Taiwanese Americans in the Bay Area. Plus, check out exhibits that showcase Taiwanese culture, arts and the latest in Taiwanese technology.
Started in 1993, the Taiwanese American Cultural Festival has grown into an annual landmark event for the Bay Area community, drawing thousands of visitors from all over the world to experience Taiwan’s unique cultural heritage and to recognize the contributions of Taiwanese Americans today.
More than 10,000 visitors attended the festival in 2017. We have been honored in the past to have have distinguished guests, including Jackie Speier, US Congresswoman; David Chiu, President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors; and Gavin Newsom, former Mayor of San Francisco and current California State Lieutenant Governor.
The festival is 100% organized, run and funded by volunteers and donors.
